 AQUATT will lead WP5 “Knowledge Transfer and Communication”. In combination with other partners they will ensure that the project, its deliverables and outputs are promoted and disseminated effectively to the appropriate target end users of the knowledge resulting in uptake and application.

AquaTT will also play a major role in WP2, assisting in the analysis of the information collected on MSFD/GES related projects using the expertise and methodologies acquired from carrying out such work in other scientific domains, such as Marine Genomics for Users (Genomics projects), Aquainnova (Aquaculture projects), and MarineTT (EC-funded marine projects).

Role of AquaTT in STAGES

Description of personnel involved in the project:

Mr David Murphy, Manager, has more than eleven years' of EC project management in the areas of education, training and RTD, having coordinated eight and participated in over 35 projects. He is the facilitator of the knowledge management working group of the European Aquaculture Technology and Innovation Platform (EATiP).


Dr. Gill Marmelstein has been with AquaTT since May 2010 and is as a Scientific Project Officer on MarineTT and Aquainnova projects. Gill holds a PhD in Marine Biology from University College Dublin and a B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Ecology from University College Cork. She has worked as an environmental consultant in the production of Environmental Impact Assessments and has worked as a Scientific Project Officer for the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI –Europe) in Brussels.
